STEP Deck™ 12"(30cm) wide radiant heating element is designed to provide heated floors in decks, sun-rooms, conservatories, etc. For these applications, the floor covering is limited to concrete, tile or stone.
STEP Deck™ has a higher wattage output than the standard residential elements, as these types of applications normally have higher heat losses. A heat loss calculation is required to find out if this system can sufficiently heat the space all year round. This will depend on the type of construction and insulation values of the substrate, ceiling and windows.
