Title: tinned Copper wires Post by: chris on April 17, 2008, 12:21:48 AM What is the significance of the tinned straneded copper wire?
Is it more conductive? If so, why not just use a larger stranded copper? chris Title: Re: tinned Copper wires Post by: Tim on April 17, 2008, 08:36:54 AM The point of the tinned copper wire is corrosion resistance. Plain copper wire would corrode and likely cause the system to fail over time.
It's also important because using anything other than tinned copper voids the system's warranty. |
